The small town of Williams (population 3,000) is located 60 miles south of Grand Canyon’s South Rim (one-hour drive). Williams is famous for its historic downtown, which celebrates its Route 66 heritage. Williams is also the starting point of the Grand Canyon Railrway, which makes daily runs between Williams and the Grand Canyon Village.
