Best Hotels & Lodging on Route 3, Bar Harbor, Maine

Route 3 stretches 17 miles between the Trenton Bridge (which connects Mount Desert Island to the mainland) and downtown Bar Harbor. Along the way there are plenty of hotels that, due to their location “away” from downtown Bar Harbor, offer lots of great value. Most hotels along Route 3 are less than a 15-minute drive to Bar Harbor, and the free Island Explorer Shuttle makes regular stops at many of the private campgrounds along the way.
