Description
Margay near Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica

About the Photo
Margays (Leopardus wiedii) are spotted cats native to Central and South America. Rarely seen in the wild, they are one of only two cat species able to climb down trees headfirst. I was incredibly fortunate to capture this photo of a margay climbing down a tree in the rainforest near Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica.
